Project Overview:

The Buck O’Neil Education Center is a renovation of the former YMCA building built in 1914. The Negro League Baseball Museum is renovating the building to house a large banquet hall with a grand staircase to access a mezzanine that encircles the room and will display old Baseball memorabilia. There will also be two smaller banquet rooms that can be utilized for smaller events. A research library is part of the design and will provide space for visiting researchers to study historical information about the Negro League Baseball era. The upper three floors of the building will be a leased office space for area professionals. Fundraising is ongoing in this project and has effected final project costs and scope that is constantly evolving.
