Project Overview:

Contributed Value: $540,000 Duration: 4 months Project Overview: The Korean War Veteran’s Association designed a First Class memorial to recognize the men and women from the State of Kansas who died in this war. The memorial features a radius granite wall that is

engraved with the names of those killed or missing in action. It also includes a pair of limestone rubble mounds that echo the rocky terrain of Korea where many battles were fought. There are also 38 granite pylons that represent the 38th Parallel that denoted the border between North and South Korea. Major Building Features: Colored concrete Plaza Granite Wall of Honor Precast accent site walls Limestone rubble mounds with a water fall representing “ever-changing life”.
