Lee’s Summit, MO

Contract Amount: $3,767,000

Total Square Footage: 80 Acres

Project Overview:

This new 692 Acre Park in Lee’s Summit, Missouri was the first phase in the master plan developed by Theis Doolittle Architects. Our project included playing field, lighting, fencing, bleachers, site utilities, walk paths, and restroom concession pavilions. Merit General Contractors constructed three pavilions, one each for soccer, football and baseball. Twelve baseball fields were constructed and six softball fields. Nine soccer fields were built at the north end of the site. Each building housed mens and womens toilet facilities, concession stand, and a mechanic’s shop. Picnic patios were constructed at each pavilion that overlooked the playing fields. Each venue was designated by it’s own distinctive entry pylon and each pavilion had a unique tower element to call attention to the playing field entrances.

Major Building Features:
  • Athletic Field Lighting
  • Walk paths
  • Distinctive Towers at each Pavilion
  • Decorative Stone, Wood and Steel Entry Pylons
