This 6,500 sf Design Build project included Merit engaging all of the required design professionals and leading the client through the programming, schematic design and finally into construction documents. Merit and the design team worked closely with the Lionsgate staff to modify original building program requirements until the project estimate reached the desired budget parameters. The pre-engineered metal building was constructed reusing a large portion or the original buildings floor slab and foundation which helped reduce the budget needs. The original building was destroyed in a fire. The new building houses the maintenance staff’s office, break room and locker spaces. The back of the building houses a maintenance workshop where they work on and keep their fleet of lawn mowing equipment in top working condition. The opposite end of the building is large enough to store their many vehicles in during the off season as well as provide indoor working space for the crews during inclement weather. The facility is completely ADA accessible and is also equipped with wireless communication facilities.
