Project Overview:

Merit was awarded this contract based on a competitive bid process. Merit constructed the new addition on to the existing Mission City Hall to accommodate the expansion of the Police Department and administrative offices while providing extensive renovation to the exiting facility. Since the existing facility was to remain open for business Merit had to provide a detailed plan and sequence of various trades in phases which minimized the disruption to its current over crowded operations. Additionally, demolition and various trade noise levels were to be kept to a minimum requiring Merit to devise sound rated dust partitions between all occupied and adjoining construction areas. Even with the multiple phasing and limited spaces allocated for construction Merit was able to meet and maintain the original progress schedule.
