The Sycamore Groves apartment renovation has been completed with the ribbon cutting ceremony last month.

The $7.8 million dollar renovation of the 45 year old complex, located at 2920 E. 17th, Kansas City, Missouri, has been in the works for the past two years. The project was a total, ‘Gut and replace,’ says senior project manager, Doug Sharpe. The complex consists of 28 buildings hosting a total of 179 units. The renovation included new furnace and air conditioning units, all new plumbing fixtures, new cabinets, flooring, doors, and hardware. The exterior included new vinyl siding, new roofing, sidewalk work, and re-paved parking lots.

Along with their hands-on attention to detail and quality work, the Merit team assigned to this project: Superintendent, Roger Fontaine; Foremen, Randy Lillard and Jacob Bauer, Laborer, Steve Ogden, Jr., and Senior Project Manager, Doug Sharpe), did an outstanding job with the logistics as 3 to 5 buildings were under construction at all times with residents being moved to the finished buildings as the project progressed.
